Ballard Spahr has a new and exciting opportunity available in our Human Resources Department for an experienced Compensation Analyst to develop and administer the total compensation program for our administrative professionals and paralegals and to ensure our compensation remains competitive in the legal industry in each of our local markets.
This role will collaborate with others to review job descriptions and perform comparative analysis to benchmark against other positions internally and externally for compensation purposes; analyze internal salary data to identify potential inequities and make recommendations for remediation based on findings; and identify and participate in relevant compensation surveys using survey result to analyze market data to ensure our compensation program remains competitive. This position will identify and leverage technology to manage and analyze compensation and survey data.
The selected individual will have strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills; exceptional attention to detail; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, set priorities and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements include 5+ years of relevant experience in a compensation related role preferably in a legal or professional services environment; advanced proficiency in compensation research and data analysis; technical proficiency with Microsoft 2016 and HRIS applications, preferably with Workday; and working knowledge of human resources processes. A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is preferred.
This is a hybrid position with the opportunity to work remotely.
