The 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office is looking for highly motivated individuals ready to serve the public and our community.  We are currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Solicitor and are looking for both experienced and new attorneys.   The primary role of an Assistant Solicitor is to prosecute criminal cases in General Sessions Court which will require a lot of your time to be spent in the courtroom handling a combination of jury trials, guilty pleas, and motions.  Additional duties include case evaluation, victim/law enforcement meetings, legal research, and working with senior staff.   Assistant Solicitors are also afforded the opportunity to regularly attend CLEs, conferences, and trainings in order to stay up to date on the latest trends in the
