The Marshall County Attorney is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Marshall County Attorney.

Major Functions:

• Prosecution of misdemeanor and some felony matters, including pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
• Representing the State of Iowa and Marshall County in court proceedings.
• Assisting law enforcement with investigations and charging decisions, including outside of normal office hours.
• Participation in adult drug court treatment program and opportunities for community outreach.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• JD Degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar of the State of Iowa.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Not required to live in Marshall County; must be able to commute to/from Marshall County Courthouse.
• Previous prosecution experience is preferable but not required. Law school graduates of 2022 are encouraged to apply.
