The Healthcare Transactional Attorney will primarily be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of complex healthcare contracts and transactional documents to support Mom’s Meals’ business.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
Review, draft, and negotiate healthcare transactional documents with an emphasis on managed care, Medicaid, and privacy
Provide day-to-day legal advice on regulatory, operational and transactional matters and provide advice in healthcare contracting and compliance with a focus on federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, Fraud and Abuse, and Anti-Kickback
Support strategic initiatives and development of new programs and Legal Department processes
Demonstrated ability to make prudent, strategic and pragmatic decisions while working well with others in a diverse team environment to resolve complex issues effectively and efficiently
Assist in reviewing and revising current contracting processes, structures and procedures for efficiency and support projects
Assist in developing, maintaining and updating contracting database and records
Establish good working relationships throughout the department and across all business units
Stay up to date with healthcare regulations and review contractual language to ensure compliance
Required Skills and Experience
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and admitted into a state bar
5+ years of strong healthcare transactional experience in the areas of corporate and healthcare law with an emphasis on managed care contracting
Demonstrated regulatory experience in the areas of fraud & abuse, managed care, and Medicaid/Medicare fee for service
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently
Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytical skills
Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to quickly identify and analyze problems to form an opinion and offer practical advice to the business
Solid computer, organizational and follow-up skills: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, CRM Sales databases
