Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join the Information Services/Application Department in our Chicago office. The Enterprise Solutions Engineer is responsible for the implementation, customization, and ongoing support of off-the-shelf software solutions, ensuring they align with business needs. In addition to managing software implementations, the Enterprise Solutions Engineer also plays a key role in process improvement initiatives, ensuring the solutions not only function effectively but also drive operational efficiency. The position requires an in-office presence in the Chicago office but includes flexibility for some remote work.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Enterprise Solutions Engineer will include:
Collaborates with firm leadership, practice groups, and administrative departments to gather, document, and clarify project requirements. Collaborates with application development team members to translate these requirements into work plans, including process mapping, while ensuring business needs are met and project milestones are
Guides architecture and design decisions, including evaluating and selecting Ensures seamless integration with existing technology platforms and alignment with the firm’s long-term IT strategy.
Oversees implementations, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and the resolution of Facilitates needs assessments and planning sessions to understand both short- and long-term strategies while gathering technical and functional requirements. Creates preliminary design documents, such as screen mockups, entity relationship diagrams, and process flow diagrams, to evaluate proposed solutions.
Develops solutions using existing or new tools and platforms, including applications, databases, and workflows. Collaborate with internal clients to test and implement solutions, providing presentations, communications, and demonstrations as needed.
Acts as a solutions evangelist, raising awareness of available and new capabilities, empowering lawyers and administrative staff to take advantage of tools and services, and continually researches new technologies for future solutions.
Follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) when implementing custom solutions, including SharePoint and Power Platform based solutions.
Documents code, creates process and/or workflow diagrams, and creates support documentation for cross training other resources in support of solutions in Confluence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years of experience in business analysis, computer science, or project Four (4) years of experience in the legal industry preferred.
Proven experience managing multiple complex projects with

Strong technical skills related to system development platforms, tools, and
Understanding of software development processes and
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work independently and in
Ability to learn new software, including configuration, training, documentation and becoming the subject matter expert.
Proficient in writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, including stored procedures and user-defined functions in an MSSQL Server environment; familiar with normalized data structures.
Preferred: Experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Flow ).
Preferred: PowerShell, RESTful API, JSON, HTML,

In accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $110,000 to $150,000.
